Hurray, hurray for Opposite Day
When normal meanings are reversed,
and if you say what you intend,
the year that follows will be cursed.
So play along -- say right is wrong,
and up is down, and left is right,
and hot is cold, and sharp is dull,
and sweet is sour, and day is night.
Or not! For if by chance today
is really Opposite Day, watch out!
Then all that I just said is wrong,
and what I mean remains in doubt.
So how to be sure? We cannot just
announce "Today is Opposite Day!"
Cause IF we do, it can't be true... See?
This confusion never goes away.
